TC-USA PAC Celebrates 2010 Successes,
Looks Ahead to 2012

Since 2007, the TC-USA PAC has contributed over $365,000. It has done this with the support of only one thousandth of the estimated number of Turkish Americans living, working and thriving in the United States! In the last two election cycles, TC-USA PAC has provided contributions to over 185 candidates and political committees in federal, state and local elections, establishing Turkish Americans as active participants in American civic life.

Continuous bi-partisan support for candidates who support our issues is our goal. We have already made an unprecedented impact in US elections, with nearly 75 percent of TC-USA PAC-supported candidates claiming victory on November 2, 2010.  Our goal for the upcoming 2012 elections is to increase the number of candidates we support, increase the number of Turkish American candidates and elected officials, and to firmly establish TC-USA PAC as a respected participant in the US political process.

The funds raised through the TC-USA PAC are used to support both the Democratic and Republican Parties and congressional, state and local candidates.  These activities are a great start, as they have put the Turkish American community on the map. There is still more work to do; it is time to raise the volume of the Turkish American voice so that we move from supporters of political candidates to actually being political candidates.  There are now three Turkish American elected officials in the US. We can do better than that!

In 2011-2012, we need to continue our steady progress toward having 10,000 supporters in the United States. If you are Turkish American or an American friend of Turkey who understand the importance of a positive US-Turkey relationship, we need you!
